Vertical Kilometer CRONOMETRADO

A timing system allows the mountain runner, professional or amateur, to measure their time by passing through three beacons along the official path of the Vertical Kilometer of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Festival.

With a chip that is provided at ticket offices – with the deposit of a deposit-, the system activates the race time at a first point signposted in the Plaza de Andalucía, provides the intermediate time in a second beacon identified on the road of Borreguiles and a third in the finish line, at the junction with the road to the Veleta.

With the chip code, the runner will be able to consult later their time and know their place in the ranking of the season.

The Vertical Kilometer of Sierra Nevada starts in the 2,100 meters of the Plaza de Andalucía de Pradollano. The route leads the track of El Rio towards Borreguiles, in constant ascent, with little respite.

From there to the finish line, due to the tiredness, altitude and major inclination of some sections, the Kilometer becomes hard. A total of 4.9 linear kilometers to reach the 3,100 level, just when you get the 1,000 meters of positive elevation

Circuit data:

Plot length: 4.9 linear km
Departure: Plaza Andalucía
Time: Intermediate: Crossover crta Borreguiles
Goal: Km 45 ctra. Veleta
