The race, which will be The Andalusian Championship of the modality, will be played, at nightfall, by the usual route: departure on the track of El Rio to ascend maribel, Levante, Borreguiles, lower station of the Zayas ski lift, and descent by Perdiz, Cecilio (ascending section), Loma de Dílar and final in Pradollano.

In the case of the cadet and youth categories and "popular" modality the route will be 8 km and a cumulative positive elevation of 663 m. with common departure and arrival in Pradollano.
During the presentation of the event, cetursa Sierra Nevada CEO Jesús Ibáñez highlighted "the versatility of the station to host all kinds of sporting events played in snow" and "make them compatible with tourist skiing", as will happen on Saturday, since Snow Running will coincide from 19.00 hours on Saturday with the night skiing activity , which is why the final stretch of the Rio track will be marked to avoid interference between skiers and runners.
In the ninth edition of The Sierra Nevada Snow Running, mountain racers from all autonomous communities, as well as international athletes, especially British, will compete.
Highlights include the participation of Chema Martínez, one of the favorites to the win along with the latest winners of the event, the Granadans Jacob Gutiérrez, Javier Terrón or Ignacio Morón. In the women's category Yolanda Fernández del Campo, Sofía García Martín, and Silvia Lara, all of them regulars on the podium of snow Running Sierra Nevada.
The technical director of the test, Pablo Ruiz de Almirón (Mamut Sierra Nevada- CD Altalí), emphasized that the impact of Snow Running Sierra Nevada "goes beyond the competition itself. The race promotes values of respect for the mountain, training on the safety conditions in winter mountain and awareness in the good environmental practices of both participants and the public". In addition, the organization will give participants a keychain that symbolizes the support of the race to the recovery of the historic shelters of the Sierra Nevada.
For his part, the president of the Andalusian Mountaineering Federation, Julio Perea, emphasized: "Talking about Snow Running in Sierra Nevada is to speak of a national reference. Since the first event was organized we have already reached the ninth Andalusian Championship. Today there are already many supporters of this modality at the national level. My thanks to Cetursa for their collaboration in this event organized by CD Altalí, a club that is due to Andalusian snow running being the benchmark at national and international level"
