Sierra Nevada, closed early on March 14th by the coronavirus health crisis, has organized a contest for social media fans of the Granada winter season to be encouraged, during the confinement period, to choose the promotional image for the winter season 2020/21.
The action, which kicks off today and runs until Sunday, April 5, offers Sierra Nevada fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram a link to vote in two photo categories: ski action and landscape resort.
Participants should choose the image they like best from ten photos previously selected for each category, and share it on their personal social profiles. Sierra Nevada will draw two 10-day ski passes for the upcoming season among participating fans. The station has more than 300,000 fans between Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
In the action ski block, the images have been taken from a photo shoot with professional Sierra Nevada skier José Antonio Morales this same season in the Veleta area and on the black slopes; meanwhile, landscape station photographs correspond to the last two campaigns and were mostly captured from Las Sabinas -towards Veleta- and from the upper part of Cauchiles and Veleta towards Borreguiles or the Mediterranean Sea.
The selected images will be part of the Sierra Nevada promotional campaign for the 2020/21 winter season in both digital media and print editions and outdoor actions.
With this action the station aims to make the obligatory period of confinement more bearable through images that evoke unforgettable experiences in the Sierra Nevada snow, and to continue the farewell video - uploaded to the station's networks by closing the current season early - under the title "We will return, and we will return tod@s".
