Sierra Nevada adds 77 new 'cannons' and proceed with the snow system modernization
A total of 77 snow cannons have been added into the Snow System in the Sierra Nevada for the 2021/22 winter season, with which the Granada resort takes another step in the renovation and modernization of the snow devices of its ski area. Since the 19/20 season, Sierra Nevada has already installed 210 new cannons, which stand out for their high performance in marginal conditions of temperature and humidity, and high efficiency in the consumption of electricity and water.
Actually, the electrical performance of these devices has allowed their co-financing with the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia through REACT-EU resources, destined to projects with energy savings, as part of the European Union's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
