Sierra Nevada will exceed 30 skiable kilometres this Wednesday thanks to the opening of slopes in the area of Loma Dílar, La Visera and sector 1 of the Sulayr snowpark, with which the Granadian winter resort will reach the maximum skiable surface of the season coinciding with the days -traditionally- of greatest affluence of the Christmas holidays.
The new openings have been made possible thanks to the work of the resort's ski operators, who have managed to restore areas that were affected by the wet weather that closed the front after the weekend's snowfall.
The Loma de Dílar area will incorporate, among others, the slope of the same name, one of the longest in Sierra Nevada, as well as sector 1 of the snowpark, where the modules for freestyle skiing have already been installed.
La Visera, one of the most emblematic slopes in Sierra Nevada, is the first black slope to open this season, with access via the Emilio Reyes chairlift.
As for the rest, the night skiing activity, which was exceptionally launched last Sunday, returns to its usual Saturday schedule on 1 January.
The resort asks professionals and users to observe the COVID measures in the resort, which, among other things, require the use of masks on the lifts and at the access of them.
